Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using our services. They outline the rights and responsibilities of both DMV Air Pure and our customers.

1.Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by DMV Air Pure ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), including but not limited to our website at www.airventduct.com and all related services, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DMV Air Pure. By scheduling, confirming, or receiving any service from our company, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to enter into contracts to use our services. If you are scheduling services on behalf of a property owner, business, or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that party to these Terms.


2.Description of Services

DMV Air Pure provides professional air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, chimney sweeping, HVAC maintenance, mold remediation, and related indoor air quality services to residential and commercial properties throughout Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (the "DMV area").

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Residential and commercial air duct cleaning and sanitization
  • Dryer vent cleaning and inspection
  • Chimney sweeping, inspection, and repair
  • HVAC system cleaning and maintenance
  • Mold inspection, testing, and remediation within ductwork
  • Indoor air quality testing and assessment
  • EPA-registered antimicrobial treatment application
  • Commercial kitchen exhaust hood cleaning
  • Emergency and same-day service

All services are performed by licensed technicians who are background-checked, bonded, and insured. The specific scope of work for each engagement will be detailed in the service agreement provided prior to commencement of work.


3.Scheduling & Cancellations

Scheduling: Appointments may be scheduled by phone, through our website, or via email. All appointments are confirmed via email and/or text message. An appointment is not considered confirmed until you receive a written confirmation from DMV Air Pure.

Arrival Windows: We provide 2-hour arrival windows for all scheduled appointments. Our technician will contact you 30 minutes before arrival. In accordance with our On-Time Guarantee, if our technician is more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled arrival window without prior notification, you will receive a $50 credit toward your service.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel or reschedule an appointment at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled service time. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to $75 to cover scheduling and dispatch costs.

No-Shows: If no one is present at the service location at the scheduled time and we are unable to reach you by phone within 15 minutes, the appointment will be considered a no-show. No-shows may be subject to a fee of up to $100 and will require prepayment for rescheduling.

Weather & Emergencies: DMV Air Pure reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to severe weather conditions, vehicle emergencies, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule at a mutually convenient time at no additional cost.


4.Pricing & Payment

Estimates: All pricing is provided as an estimate based on the information available at the time of scheduling. Final pricing may be adjusted following the on-site inspection if the scope of work differs materially from the original estimate. Any price adjustments will be communicated to you and require your approval before work proceeds.

Free Inspections: We provide complimentary on-site inspections with camera documentation for residential air duct cleaning services. Inspection results and exact pricing are presented before any work begins. You are never obligated to proceed with service after an inspection.

Payment Terms: Payment is due in full upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, checks, and electronic bank transfers. Commercial accounts may qualify for net-30 payment terms upon credit approval.

Pricing Transparency: Our pricing is all-inclusive with no hidden fees. The quoted price includes labor, equipment, standard materials, and cleanup. Additional services such as antimicrobial treatments, mold remediation, or emergency scheduling are priced separately and clearly itemized.

Late Payment: Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually) on the outstanding balance. We reserve the right to engage collection services for accounts past 90 days due.


5.Warranties & Guarantees

DMV Air Pure stands behind every service with the following guarantees:

100% Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are not completely satisfied with our work, we will re-clean the affected areas at no additional charge within 30 days of the original service date. If after the re-clean you remain unsatisfied, we will provide a full refund of the service fee. No questions asked.

On-Time Guarantee

If our technician arrives more than 15 minutes past the end of your scheduled arrival window without prior notification, you will receive a $50 credit applied to your service invoice. This guarantee applies to all scheduled appointments.

12-Month Workmanship Warranty

All work performed is warranted against defects in workmanship for 12 months from the date of service. This covers improperly reinstalled components, damaged vent covers, incomplete cleaning, and any other issue directly attributable to our work. Warranty claims are addressed within 48 hours of notification.

Antimicrobial Treatment Guarantee

When our EPA-registered antimicrobial treatment is applied, we guarantee protection against mold and bacterial regrowth in treated areas for 12 months. If mold returns within the coverage period, we will retreat the affected areas at no charge. This guarantee is contingent upon maintaining recommended humidity levels (below 60%).

6.Limitation of Liability

Insurance Coverage: DMV Air Pure maintains $2 million in general liability insurance, workers' compensation coverage for all employees, and is bonded in Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. Our insurance covers property damage, personal injury, and related claims arising from our services.

Property Damage: In the event that our technicians cause damage to your property during the course of service, DMV Air Pure will repair or compensate for the damage through our insurance provider. You must notify us of any damage within 48 hours of service completion by contacting us in writing.

Pre-Existing Conditions: DMV Air Pure is not liable for damage to ductwork, HVAC components, chimney structures, or other property elements that are in a pre-existing deteriorated, corroded, or compromised condition. Our technicians will document and notify you of any pre-existing conditions discovered during the inspection before proceeding with work.

Limitation: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DMV Air Pure's total liability for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim. In no event shall DMV Air Pure be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Force Majeure: DMV Air Pure shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform obligations under these Terms resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, labor disputes, or utility failures.


7.Property Access & Conditions

Access Requirements: You agree to provide our technicians with reasonable and safe access to all areas necessary for the performance of services, including HVAC systems, ductwork, attics, crawl spaces, utility rooms, and chimney areas. Failure to provide adequate access may result in inability to complete services or additional charges for return visits.

Safe Working Conditions: You represent that the service location is safe for our technicians to perform work. You must disclose any known hazards, including but not limited to structural deficiencies, asbestos-containing materials, lead paint, pest infestations, aggressive animals, or any other condition that could endanger our personnel.

Furniture & Belongings: While our technicians take every precaution to protect your property, we recommend moving fragile or valuable items away from work areas before the scheduled service. DMV Air Pure is not responsible for items left in immediate proximity to work areas that sustain incidental damage from dust or vibration.

Parking & Equipment Access: Our service vehicles require reasonable parking access near the service location. For commercial properties, loading dock or service entrance access may be required for equipment staging. Any parking fees, permits, or access costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.

Permits & HOA Compliance: If your property is subject to HOA rules, building management policies, or local regulations that affect scheduling, noise levels, or contractor access, it is your responsibility to obtain any necessary approvals or permits prior to the service date.


8.Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution: In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or related to these Terms or our services, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting DMV Air Pure's customer service team at legal@www.airventduct.com or (800) 555-0199. We commit to responding to all dispute inquiries within 5 business days.

Mediation: If informal resolution is unsuccessful within 30 days, either party may initiate non-binding mediation administered by a mutually agreed-upon mediator in Alexandria, Virginia. The costs of mediation shall be shared equally between both parties.

Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For services performed in Maryland or Washington D.C., the applicable consumer protection laws of those jurisdictions shall also apply.

Jurisdiction: Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Alexandria, Virginia, and both parties irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceeding will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against DMV Air Pure.


9.Changes to Terms

DMV Air Pure reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms of Service at any time at our sole discretion. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where practicable, provide notice through our website or via email to customers with active service agreements.

Your continued use of our services after any modifications to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the modified Terms, you must discontinue use of our services.

For customers with existing service agreements or maintenance contracts, changes to these Terms will not retroactively alter the terms of your existing agreement. Updated Terms will apply to any new services scheduled after the effective date of the change.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed about our policies. A complete history of material changes is available upon request by contacting our legal department.
